Introduction
Will guide and help you on configuring an AIM kiosk to support a satellite computer with a blazor screen.
Kiosk Settings
- IsBlazeOS: True
- StartPageImageBlaze: Usually set to logo_icon.png. This is the start page logo.
Remote to the satellite computer
VNC the kiosk:
Press P5 and open the start menu, click on the VNC icon:
Type in the IP of the satellite computer:
The password is: XXXXXXXX
VNC settings
You can right click in the top left corner of the vnc window and change the display settings, go to Display and select Auto Scale Screen:
Task manager
To open the task manager on the satellite computer hold down SHIFT and click on the windows icon:
Open satellite folder
To open a folder, right click an item in the list and select Open file location, you can now browse to the instantdvd folder:

Images
Check what operator the kiosk is on, and make sure the images exist. Images used are:
- arrow_down_icon.png
- background.png
- background_checkin.png
- warning_triangle.png
Get my local kiosk IP
Press F5 on the kiosk computer and type cmd in the start menu:
Look for the IPv4 address:
Config the satellite computer from kiosk computer
On the kiosk computer, navigate to:
- C:\InstantDVD\InventoryBlazeOS
Open the file unitConfig.json. Now make sure the value on Kind is set to “in”. This field is case sensitive. Set gateway to1.
The IP shown here is the IP from the satellite computer.
If you do not have the IP for the satellite computer, then you can either:
- Check the router to find it.
- Try arp -a
- Ask the customer to check it with the use of a keyboard.
Configure satellite IP target
The satellite computer needs to know what IP to target.
On the satellite computer, navigate to:
- C:\InstantDVD\
And you will see two files, these files do not have an extension.
- subnet: here you enter the subnet to target. This is the first 3 parts of digits from the kiosk computers IPv4 address.
- target: this is the ending number from the IPv4 address:
