Instant ID is Instant Systems' integrated identity verification module designed to make the sale of age-restricted products both secure and seamless.
Built directly into our Single and Duo 700 and 850 units, it combines biometric facial matching and ID document scanning to verify the user’s age — instantly and without the need for staff.
Note: Available only for newly produced units and it cannot be retrofitted to units already in use.

Step-by-Step Customer Flow with Instant ID
1. Welcome Screen
The user is greeted with a welcome screen, informed that the unit contains age-restricted products. Options are shown to purchase or browse.
2. Terms of Use
Before proceeding, the customer must actively accept the terms and conditions, ensuring transparency and informed consent.
3. ID Scan
The customer inserts an official ID (e.g., passport, national ID, or driver’s license) into the integrated scanner.
4. Face Alignment
The customer is asked to align their face for biometric matching with the ID document.
5. Real-Time Validation
The system checks both identity and age. Verification is completed in seconds.
- If successful, the user is approved to proceed.
- If the customer does not meet the age requirement, access is denied.
Note: This step requires a stable internet connection, as images are uploaded and processed in the cloud.
6. Card Tap
Depending on configuration, the user may tap a card for pre-authorization (a small amount is reserved temporarily) or use the Lova app before unlocking.
7. Smart Shopping
The door unlocks. The customer selects products directly from the shelves. The built-in weight and sensor system detects all taken or returned items automatically.
8. Review & Payment
Once the door is closed, the system displays selected products and pricing. The user confirms and completes the purchase.
9. Receipt (Optional)
The user is offered to enter an email address to receive a digital receipt.
