UPS Battery Replacement Manual

Important Safety Notice

• Ensure all power is disconnected before proceeding.
• Handle the UPS battery with care to avoid short circuits.
• Dispose of the old battery according to local regulations.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Power Down the System

• Shut down the computer using Kioskware.
• Unplug the main power cable from the back of the kiosk.

  2. Access the UPS Unit

• Locate the hatch to the tech kit behind the screen.
• Unlock the two locks (above and below the screen) and open the hatch.

3. Remove the UPS

1. Unplug all cables connected to the UPS unit.

• Carefully remove the UPS from the tech kit and place it on a flat surface.

4. Replace the Battery

• Unscrew the top two screws on the UPS cover.

• Open the cover and remove the old battery.

• Unplug the old battery and connect the new battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals).

5. Reassemble and Power On

1. Secure the UPS cover by tightening the two screws.
2. Place the UPS back into the tech kit.
3. Reconnect all cables to the UPS unit.
4. Plug the main power cable back into the kiosk.
5. Power on the system and verify the UPS is functioning properly.
6. Close the hatch and lock the two locks.
