Introduction
Tare means that you remove everything from the slot, so it is at a zero state. It is useful if you have, for example, a box for items. You can then put that empty box onto the empty slot and tare it. The box will then not be counted for the inventory quantity.

Login to the merchandiser page on the kiosk and navigate to Setup Inventory:
Click on the slot in the list that you have cleared out and want to tare to select it.
At the bottom of the page, you see a Tare Slot button:
Clicking on this button will prompt you with a message box informing you of your choice to tare the slot:
Clicking Yes again will prompt you with your final decision to tare it:
After you click Yes the scale will recalibrate and the inventory will be recalculated.

Begin by navigating to Setup->Slot Options:
From the list of slots, select the one that you which to tare. The selected slot will be displayed in yellow. Afterwards click on TARE SLOT and you will be prompted by a message box. Click Yes to proceed and then click Yes again to tare it.
