Note, when calibrating scales of this type, it is essential to ensure that the calibration process is conducted with empty bins placed on the scale or with the milk cooler accompanied by an empty milk bin positioned on the cooler. This practice helps in achieving an accurate calibration that reflects the true weight measurements without the influence of additional weight from the bins.
Moreover, it is advisable to utilize a higher weight during the calibration process. The reason for this recommendation lies in the fact that scales generally exhibit a higher weight tolerance at increased weights. By calibrating with a greater weight, you can enhance the precision and reliability of the scale's measurements. A practical approach would be to use two or more of the 1000-gram weights that are typically included with the coolers. This method not only simplifies the calibration procedure but also ensures that the scale is accurately set for future use.
