Overview
This documentation contains the necessary steps to use the Planet payment terminal in our kiosks.
Hardware
The device is powered by its own power adapter. The device communicates with the kiosk via LAN; the device should be connected to the switch inside the kiosk via an ethernet cable.
Alternatively, the device can be powered by 12V DC via Molex (MDB-cable) connected to the power supply of the kiosk.
Software
Required version: InventoryOS release version 1.609 or greater.
Configuration:
- ChipAndPinReader: The ChipAndPinReader setting should be set to "Planet" using the merchandiser page on the kiosk
Navigate to Utilities (In the maintenance section) -> Action Tab -> Select from "Planet" the chip and pin's drop-down menu
- ChipAndPinProviderURL This setting contain the necessary information that is required for capturing payment done on the kiosk, it also will allow you to modify the transaction from the Cockpit/Admin.

Troubleshooting
- Terminal not connecting: Verify the terminal is powered on and connected to the same network as the kiosk. If auto-discovery fails, verify that the terminal is configured to use ethernet for communication and the terminal is visible on the network.
